Failed Backups

We have been having a lot of trouble getting our backups to work correctly.  I think the problem rests with the backup software not being able to handle the way that Domino handles open nsf files.  I am starting a test that will hopefully get all of my e-mail files backed up.

I have set up a new Domino server, the entire purpose of the new server is to replicate mail files to it once a day.  My plan is to have the domino server start up in the evening and replicate all of the mail files.  I will then shutdown the domino server.  I will have the windows admin backup the nsf files without the domino server running.  Hopefully this will solve the problem.
